BOOK A TRIP

Let's go! Start by contacting Susan Dresner, who knows these trips firsthand. Phone her directly at 212.877.1417 from 8 am to 6 pm (EST) or email info@livingmorocco.com; she'll help find the perfect trip for you. To book your trip:

1.  Reserve your trip with Susan or your travel agent.  Application/Release of Liability forms can be downloaded or sent to you by mail.

2. Confirm your reservation immediately by making your initial payment of $500 by check made payable to Living Morocco which must be accompanied by a completed Application and signed Release of Liability & Acknowledgment of Risk form (one submitted for each participant, please).

3.  Upon receipt of the above, you will be mailed a confirmation letter with a trip itinerary-in-detail and a travel insurance application.

4.  With your second deposit of $600, you will be sent a list of recommended clothing and supplies, health information, a recommended gift list for our "shared exchanges", a reading list, and other material that lets you know what to expect about your particular trip.

5.  Balance is due 45 days prior to departure.  With the third and last payment, you are contacted about the final trip details.

PRICING

Since many of our costs are fixed and our trip size is kept intimate (5-12 persons), prices might seem marginally higher than other adventure travel companies; however Living Morocco standards are rigorous related to the critical elements of a trip (staff, accommodations, food, ground transport).  To encourage our trips going out even when sign-ups are minimal, we employ tier-pricing based on the actual number of participants who depart: 5-8 persons means a higher price than the second tier of 9-12 persons (trip price is indicated in Trip Summary).  Invoicing/payment is established on the higher tier, but a refund of the difference will be issued just before leaving if the level rises to 9-12 members.

Single supplement (member who requests a single room) is charged to cover the lodging differential.  If traveling alone, you want to share accommodations, we will try to find you a roommate; however, if one is unavailable, the supplement fee must be charged.

When you assemble your own trip party ... perhaps from family, friends, colleagues, club, alumni ..., a 10% discount is given to group members.

If payment installments are not made when due, Living Morocco, Inc. reserves the right to consider your reservation as canceled. All payments are remitted in US dollars; payments submitted less than 15 days prior to trip departure must be made by certified check or money order. 

CANCELLATION/REFUNDS

If, for some unfortunate reason, you must cancel your trip, we will refund the land portion based on the number of days prior to departure determined by the date of our receipt of your written cancellation notice  as follows:

more than 90 days refund $500 deposit less $100 administration fee
90-45 days you lose your $500 deposit
45-30 days you must pay 50% of the trip price
less than 30 days to departure you must pay full trip price

       

Living Morocco, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason, including insufficient signups (normal notice to you would be 30 days prior to departure) or operational problems that might compromise the safety of trip members.  The refund of all land payments shall release Living Morocco, Inc. from any further liability.

Living Morocco, Inc. reserves the right to decline to accept - or to restrain from further participation during the trip - any person it determines to be incapable of meeting the requirements of participating in the activities on the trip, or any person whose actions or deportment interferes with trip operations or the rights, welfare, or enjoyment of other trip members.  In these cases, no refund will be issued to this person.



LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & RELEASE

These paragraphs (along with the Release of Liability acknowledgment of Risk form) clarify our responsibility with respect to all of Living Morocco trips.  PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.  Payment of your deposit represents your acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

Living Morocco, Inc. uses ground operators, hotels, airlines, transportation companies, and other services.  Each of these companies is an independent entity with its own management and is not subject to the control of Living Morocco, Inc.  While Living Morocco endeavors to make travel arrangements with reputable suppliers, you agree that Living Morocco, Inc. shall not be liable for any delay, inconvenience, expense, illness, injury, or death or damage to property caused in part by the conduct, including negligence, or default of any company or individual furnishing these services.  The right is reserved to substitute hotels, modify the itinerary, and reverse the order of places we visit; you will be informed of any necessary changes as soon as possible.

Living Morocco, Inc. shall not be responsible for any loss or injury caused by force majeure; civil unrest; terrorism; roads, trails, hotels, homevisits, or vehicles or any other conveyances which are not operated or maintained to standards common in the United States; accident or illness without access to means of rapid evacuation or availability of medical supplies; the adequacy of medical attention once provided; physical exertion for which you are not prepared.

The enjoyment and stimulation of adventure travel, and specifically travel to Morocco, are derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activities beyond your accustomed life at home and work.  By signing the Release of Liability & Acknowledgment of Risk form, YOU HEREBY ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS and agree that you, your heirs, legal representatives and assigns, or any member of your family will not make claim against or sue Living Morocco, Inc., its legal representatives , its officers and/or principles.
